      As Blind and visually impaired residents of Marion County, Ky  we are reaching out to others in our community and to others in surrounding communities who are Blind or have Visual Impairments.  We are now having a 1 time a month meeting to discuss issues we may have whether it be personal issues for support or issues related to the environment around us being accessable to us and overall to be supportive of one another. For more information on the meetings and some of the issues we are currently working on go to the Group Calander page of this site.  We also welcome sighted members of our communities and would enjoy having you with us.  We understand that many people that are not visually impaired have just as many questions as we do and we would be more than happy to share what we know with you

     We are in the process of trying to create a local chapter of the National Federation of the Blind in and around Marion County, Ky.  This chapter would cover Marion and the central Kentucky area.
